Men! Are you ‘Dame for a Laugh?’

Men! Do you have a secret ambition to wear a skirt, put on lipstick and go blonde?

The Hospice of St Francis is looking for real men who are up for dressing up, up for a laugh and up for raising a nice bit of cash by taking part in Dame for a Laugh.

 

All you have to do is recruit your mates from work, your local pub, rugby club or footie team, find a frock, then run (or walk daintily) around a 2.5 mile course starting at Camelot Rugby Club, Hemel on Sunday 28th April at 2pm. The clubhouse will be open for a well-deserved pint afterwards!

 

The rugby lads from Camelot have already signed-up and The Hospice is keen to get as many men involved as possible in order to raise valuable funds to support its work.  It’s easy to get hold of your Dame outfit, just visit one of the local Love to Give Hospice shops in Marlowes, Highfield or Berkhamsted.

 

One of last years’ Dames, Spencer Lee from Boxmoor had a great time,''It was a fantastic event, brilliantly organised and fun from start to finish. The hardest bit was parting with my frock and handing back the wife's jewellery at the end of the day. I’d say to all men out there….just do it!”

So come on boys, show you’re Dame for a Laugh this April and make a real difference to patients and families in your area.
