What is the Day Centre?
Hemel Hempstead Day Care Centre is a registered charity.
It is a centre where the older people of Dacorum can come and enjoy the
company, have lunch, play games, or have a bath. The friendly staff will
provide guidance and assistance in any way that they can. They are open
five days a week form Monday to Friday inclusively.
Why Should You Join?
Hemel Hempstead Day centre offers companionship and care. The skilled staff
will ensure that you are safe and looked after so that you are able to enjoy
yourself in one of the most modern well equipped centres in Hertfordshire.
For those who need it, transport is available to and from the centre.
A typical Day in the Centre
All are welcome for morning coffee, which is served from 10.00am until 11.30am
Lunch is served at 12noon (available to members only)
Afternoon tea is served at 2.00pm and again everyone is welcome (A small daily
charge is made for attending the centre)
Throughout the day there are various activities including
bingo, quizzes, exercise to music for the more energetic, art and handicrafts,
games, sing-a-longs and much more.
Other
facilities available include free newspapers, a library, hairdressing, special
bathing and a chiropody service. Wheelchairs and electric scooters are supplied
to enable you to visit the park or the town centre.
Where is the day Centre?
The centre is situated in the beautiful setting of Gadebridge
Park and can be gained from the Old High Street.
