Unreported Crime!
Tonight my son had the alligator ties used to secure he’s ladder to the roof rack on he’s van stolen, the ladder was left on the roof rack loose, thankfully he noticed before he drove anywhere. An hour later my friend phones to tell me that when she arrived home she had no electricity, the electricity company arrived within an hour (true!) and they as well as herself where amazed to find that some had stole the mains box form her electric meter box outside her house!
Neither reported the incidents to the police, I told them that I think they should have done, both never suffer any great loss or personal injury but things could have been a whole lot worse, what if my son had drive off not aware he had a loose ladder on the roof and braked hard? Or my friend got a nasty electric shock?
Should we report these types of incidences to the police, or is a waste of time? Shouldn’t people beware of what’s going on no matter how small or trivial it might seem I would be interested to know what others think.
The ties were stolen from Milton Dene and the electric mains from East Minns.

I was worried to read that when the Conservative party published a top ten list of why to vote for them earlier this week, the environment didn't even make the list.
Just a few years ago, David Cameron was urging us to believe that it was his top priority. He even went to the artic to be photographed with a husky.
Climate change and other environmental threats will be some of the biggest policy issues facing our planet and our country during the next parliament and beyond. The inconsistency shown by David Cameron suggests he sees them less as policy threats to be addressed and more as PR opportunities to be taken advantage of.
We need sustained action if we're to beat these threats. That's why I've signed up to www.EdsPledge.com and would encourage other to do so too.
